It's the Little Things :: 3

Today is 'It's the Little Things' link-up with Ashley at Words About Waverly and Jess at Sadie Sky Boutique, which means it is time for a new Aria video! I'm loving looking back at each of my videos every time I add the next one to Vimeo. Today's video is from a trip to the beach we took last weekend. We haven't been to the beach in a while, not since September - things got busy with holidays, job craziness, colder temps. Aria freaking loved it. She practically sprinted for the ocean the moment her feet touched the sand, and when we got to the water she was giggling and squealing with delight playing in the waves. We will definitely be going back soon. In the meantime, please enjoy this little snippet from our beachy morning.
Happy hump day!

  1. yay for the beach!!! She looks so excited to be by the water/sand. Super cute! That almost makes me want to take another trip to FL with Callie (almost). She will have to wait for warm MI weather for a lake beach! PS love that new profile photo!!

    1. Her enthusiasm was totally unexpected. She's been many times, but I guess she was too little to care. This time though she was all for it =) I think she'll enjoy her FL spring beach trips.

      I didn't know you'd taken Callie to FL already. Was it not fun? Too hot? Did you blog about it, I'll go dig!

      I'm not sure there is anything warm about Lake Michigan. Although I'm not sure which side of MI you are from, but I'm assuming they are all just as cold. Brr. I have family in Ohio.

  2. You two look SO happy! The beach looks so warm and fabulous. If I ever get the chance to live in Florida, I'm not sure I'll ever leave a beach chair :)

    1. It turned out to be a lot more fun than I was expecting. It was a 'let's take photos at the beach' trip, but Aria had so much fun. It was actually a wee bit chilly, cool breeze and the water is still cold - for a southerner anyway. So, Aria got cold after a little bit so we headed home - while she quietly ate a paper towel in her car seat, whoops. You'd probably want to leave your beach chair to dunk yourself in water every once in a while, but then right back in the chair!

    1. I remember her first bath, well sponge bath, in the NICU and all the nurses on duty where like oh we are about to have some screaming in here. And, Aria was as quiet as could be...she was looking all around loving it. That is until it was time to wash her hair, ha. She is such a water baby, I love it too!

    1. haha, isn't it cute =) I don't think I've ever seen her so excited before.

      Thank you, sweet of you to say! I saw it, fell in love, bought it, got it home, and then saw dry clean only. Bum-mer. Good thing it is cute and comfy.

  5. This is SO adorable and I can't wait to visit a beach again within the next few years. Sure we have Lake Erie beach, but it's sooo not the same as a real ocean beach. :)

    1. haha, I definitely wouldn't say Lake Erie is the same as an ocean. Certainly not as warm! But, I think water in Georgia is too cold for my Floridian toes. I'm sure either would be lots of fun though =)

    1. Aww thanks, me too. A names were some of my top faves. Aislynn was on my list, but my husband nixed it because it he figured it would be hard for people to pronounce. Turns out nobody can say Aria correctly anyway! I can't tell you how many times we get a-ray-ah. Sigh.

  8. Oh my gosh! How stinkin' adorable is this!!! We live close-ish to the beach and haven't taken Mason yet! Yikes. I'm too afraid he will just try to eat the sand! Haha.

    1. He probably would =) Aria definitely did the first few times we went, they are so quick about it too! Geesh. But, this time she didn't. She was too enamored of the water and walking around. Mason is a few months older than Aria so you might have missed the eating sand phase though!

  9. Oh my goodness, I am dying with jealously right now! We have 15 inches of snow in our yard, and I'm dying to get to warmer weather! I grew up in NC so this weather is the pits! I love how she isn't afraid at all! She is too cute! :o) This makes me so anxious for summer. Hurry up already!

    1. Dear Lord, 15 inches is quite a bit. Where are you now? Jan and Feb are my favourite months in FL, it is cool but sunny. But, when I lived in CO those were the worst months - by New Year I was over the cold and ready for Spring =) Brr.
      Oh yeah, she booked it as soon as I got her in the sand. It took me by surprise, but was super cute too!
