Disney Trip #17 - An Evening at Magic Kingdom

Instead of driving home after our visit to the Corn Maze the other week, we decided to finish the day at Magic Kingdom. We were in the area, so it just made sense! I assumed Aria would pass out for a little car nap on the way so that she'd be well rested for the evening. Nope. Of course she was awake the whole time, but she never did hit that long-day-exhausted-wall-of-terribleness so it worked out in the end.

We were in the park about 4 hours (not including the 1.5 hours it took us to leave the park because the monorail stopped working) and we just ran around doing anything with a short enough line plus the three fastpasses I made before we got there. We saw Tinker Bell for the first time, caught the Festival of Fantasy Parade, walked the Treehouse, rode the Jungle Cruise, danced in the Tiki Room, yo ho-ed with Pirates, ate some Golden Oak Outpost fries, horsed around on the Carrousel, sailed with Peter Pan, and then enjoyed the Autumn decorations at night as we walked towards the exit.

  1. 3 fast passes you made?!?! How do you do that? Teach me your tricks! Can you check in early online? Or did you legit make them?
Oh I just love Disney at Halloween time! I'm glad you guys got to stop by even if it was for a short visit!

  3. For an impropmtu visit, you guys sure got a lot done! Did you find it to be a less stressful day since you were there for shorter hours? The less crowded it is the happier I am haha.

  4. I'm so jealous that you are close enough to just "drop by" a Disney park!! Seriously, so cool. It's like a 2nd home for Aria and she looks like she's in her zone when you guys are there. How awesome is that? Also, we really want to visit Disney in the Fall to see the pumpkins and such. Also, we've heard that if you visit between Fall and Winter you can go on one day and see pumpkins and such and then the very next day it will be Christmas themed. Is that true? If so that is awesomesauce and that's definitely when I want to go!

  5. Fun fun!! I love little drop ins like this. Four hours is usually our max at Disney - unless we have visitors coming from far away, then we make exceptions and have much longer days. I LOOOOOVE the castle lit up at night. Gorgeous. And the lanterns! We need to make another DL trip later in the day so I can see those puppies lit up.

  9. Again, jealous. I wish that I could meet Tinkerbell as well. How does one become a character at Disney Land cuz I would love to do that! However, it would be quite the commute from Wisconsin. Ha! :)

  12. For a quick stop you had a great night! Yay for meeting tinkerbel and seeing pirates on the same day -- that seems appriopriate! Also love all the fall decor they have. The pumpkin mickey's are just so cute. But man lady that sounds like one seriously LONG day! You're a rock star!
