Summer Bucket List: Eat Smores

Sweet Turtle Soup - Summer Bucket List: Eat Smores
I think I am in the minority here, but I don't really enjoy smores that much. However, I felt that this summer was going to be the one that included Aria's first smores experience. It was time, yes?

I sent Chris to the store on a milk run and tacked on a last minute smores supply request. I think he may have gone a little overboard...

We got to work on our marshmallow roasting. Gas range for the win.

Aria's smore of choice was the half chocolate half honey combo with a ghirardelli caramel square and roasted marshmallow.
My smore of choice was the all chocolate graham with a ghirardelli caramel square and roasted marshmallow. It was legit tasty. That is smore combo I can get behind. The york peppermint patty wasn't a bad alternative either, but can't go wrong with chocolate and caramel. And, no I didn't try the kit kat smore. That one just sounded a little too odd.

  2. I have yet to try Smores with Connor. He isn't into messy foods so I think this one is out but maybe next summer he will be into messes a bit more and we can enjoy some together.

Also adding the caramel is genius. Any chance to enjoy chocolate and caramel is a must!

  7. We did s'mores a couple weeks ago and Ellie was NOT interested except for the graham cracker...maybe next year. I just did the boring hershy's s'more but I think I will have to gourmet it up a little with some special chocolates!

  10. Mmm...now I need these. Adding the Ghirardelli was genius. Joe hates marshmallows though. He seriously has the worst taste in desserts. So I guess that means more s'mores for me!

  11. I'm sending Chris to the grocery store the next time I'm in the mood for s'mores. He nailed it with all the different options!
When it's too hot/cold/rainy/etc. we use our gas stove to roast the marshmallows too. HA!
And, Scott once tried his s'more with a kit kat and said it was just meh. He did say that Reese's PB cups were pretty amazing though. :)

  14. I love how many things Chris brought back for smores :) Like you, I'm actually not a big fan either- I think it's because I don't care for marshmallows too much. Your combo sounds yummy though, so I may have to try that! Also love that you roasted them on top of your stove :D

  15. Mmmm…S’mores. I have been craving them lately! I can’t wait until it’s not 110+ in Texas and we can light up a fire and make some smores! Your fancy smores sound amazing. I want to try with the reeses. I love anything peanut butter!

  16. Mmmm S'mores! My favorite have been Nutella s'mores. Now I am ready for fall so I can have bonfire s'mores. They taste even better that way :). Great job letting Aria try something that you don't love. It is sometimes hard to do that.
