It's the Little Things: Getting that Energy Out

It's the Little Things: Getting that Energy Out
Great Grandma brought back a set of chopsticks from lunch for Aria. Aria felt that they worked better as drum sticks. She certainly plays with gusto! I love that such random odds and ends can be such a good time for a toddler. Check out her chopstick moves in the video below.

  1. Sweet girl! Looks like she had a blast. Tory played with 4 straws pushed end-to-end to make one long one last weekend at the lake for seriously an hour. To your point about the most random things being the best "toys" ... kids!

  2. Oh how darling! Hallie totally likes those "non toys" better than actual toys! So funny!

  3. So cute :) Reese's favorite non-toys are bike reflectors (from Scott's old bike), a wire basket she pretends is a sailboat, and a small zip case that Scott uses to put his bluetooth headset in. Toddlers are so funny.

  4. Hahahaha! Look at her go with those sticks! Don't you love it when you have a house/garage/backyard full of toys you've purchased/been gifted/etc. and the things that your child wants to play with are the things that didn't cost anyone any money?! Marcus is mildly obsessed with sticks and pinecones, and I'm like, really?! We have every toy imaginable, and you want a stick. HA!

  5. Lol... I loved the video. It really brought back a lot of memories. I'll never forget spending a small fortune on Christmas gifts one year and my kids having more fun playing with the wrapping paper and boxes everything came in. I just couldn't stop laughing at that... :)
