7 Simple Earth Day Ideas for Toddlers

1. Make a bird feeder.
2. Have a snack of dirt pudding.
3. Plant something.
4. Have a nature scavenger hunt.
5. Collect sticks and then paint them.
6. Make mud pies.
7. Go to the library for Earth Day books - The Lorax, Biscuit's Earth Day Celebration, It's Earth Day (Little Critter), or Fancy Nancy: Every Day is Earth Day to name a few.

  1. Love this! I used to be quite the tree hugger in my youth - no shame! I was always wanting to plant trees and the like. In elementary school our class went around and cleaned out storm drains and painted NO DUMP on them all. It was the coolest day, or so I thought. And The Lorax is David's favorite movie ever. Following in his mommy's footsteps!!!

  3. Fun ideas!! I saw a few little paint your own bird feeders in the dollar bins at Target. I mean, we already have a trip planned to go there today. And, odds are (very great) that we'll make a round, or two, through the One Spot. Looks like we'll have a bird feeder by day's end! :)

  17. This is such a good idea! Earth Day kinda snuck up on me this year and I completely forgot about it. But these are simple and fun ideas that I could totally do with Mason. I need to mark down holidays or events in my calendar a couple days before they actual happen so I have time to plan :)
