A Photo Journey of our Trip to Pennsylvania

Technically Maryland too, because Chris' family lives right on the state line between PA and MD. Basically I never knew which state I was in.

Everyday at nap time we would pack up Aria in the car and head to Chris' parents home, which was an hour-ish away from where we were staying with his brother and sister-in-law. But, instead of heading straight there we would take all sorts of back roads and round about ways so Aria could take a nice long nap. On the way we would stop whenever something struck me as being pretty, or a cow (because cows are oh so cute) so I could take pictures.

These are my favourites!
We got pulled over by a cop after taking the above picture because we didn't stay long and he thought we were doing drugs...because apparently that is where all the kids come and get high.

I hope you enjoyed a little of our meandering drives through the middle of nowhere PA/MD! facebook pinterest bloglovin Image Map

  1. those photos are beautiful! Thanks for the am laugh of getting pulled over for doing drugs! Crazy small town police officers :) I am totally jealous that Aria is such a good car napper that you could stop and take photos and she stayed asleep! Callie is better at napping in the car now as long as the car stays moving (basically only long highway drives).

    1. Thanks! Our car is also beat up and old, basically a pos. We got pulled over a second time because the cop 'wanted to make sure we were okay'. Um yeah, thanks. Clearly we need a new car!
Aria is great at sleeping in the car. Occasionally when we stopped for gas she would wake up, but that was probably because we had to turn the car off. She was in the car so much on this trip, I'm sure she was like YES I can nap in a crib again!!!
      Happy Friday =)

    1. Yes, I always save my drug habit for when Aria naps. He even ran both our IDs and printed out a warning about being unsafe on the road...we were like whaaaa. He prob also saw that our car is mostly a hunk of junk, we actually got pulled over a second time because the back bumper is missing its cover - so that cop 'wanted to make sure we were okay'. No tickets. Just 'friendly' pull overs. Sigh.

    1. Thanks! Does it remind you of St. Louis or where you grew up, if they are not the same? I'd wager that it doesn't remind you of St. Louis, all I remember from passing through was that the traffic was miserable and the detour signs sucked. I went and checked your about me page to see where you called home ... professional taco eater sounds like a really excellent life path to me!
